**Responsibilities**
- Work closely with RD team, conducts hardware verification tests, and document test results.
- Set up test environment, wiring, and meter setup for assigned test task.
- Perform comprehensive testing of meter hardware components, including meters, sensors, connectors, and related equipment.
- Conduct functional testing to verify the performance and accuracy of meter hardware under various operating conditions.
- Utilize testing equipment and tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and data loggers to perform precise measurements and diagnostics.
- Identify and troubleshoot hardware issues, defects, or anomalies, and work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of test results, observations, and troubleshooting activities in accordance with established procedures and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure effective communication and coordination of testing activities.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement of testing processes, equipment, and procedures.
- Stay informed about industry trends, advancements in metering technology, and regulatory requirements related to meter hardware testing.
- Use oscilloscopes to test and analysis signals quality and performance in UART, SPI ,and other communication protocols.
- Test and validated HMI related issues.
- Maintain and organize lab equipment and test environment.
- Follows established development guidelines and standards and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure Occupational Health and Safety compliance with health and safety laws and regulations.
- Follow all procedures in compliance of Accuenergy (Canada) Inc standard policy and operation regulations.
- Any other operation-related responsibilities may be added as company continues to grow.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
- Proven experience in hardware testing, preferably in the metering or electronics industry.
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in using testing equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits, signal processing, and data acquisition techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience to use of standard test equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Experience following Agile development methodology and familiar with Jira and SharePoint.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, DNP3, MQTT, IEC61850 is a plus.
- Experience with power system is a plus.
- Experience with CMC256 plus, WECO4330 is a plus.
- Experience with Python is a plus
