**What You’ll Do**:
- **Collaborate with the R&D Manager** to manage product development, from sample preparation to testing and status updates.
- **Explore new materials and components** to meet project specifications and innovate product solutions.
- **Contribute to the development of manufacturing processes** by assisting with formulation, documentation, and product development.
- **Formulate products and samples** for both internal and customer evaluations, including aerosol package preparation.
- **Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams** to ensure materials and components are readily available for production.
- **Document key processes** including compounding, sample preparation, and sample lot retention, ensuring thorough record-keeping.
- **Evaluate and assess projects** for technical requirements, formulation, processing, and quality control standards.
- **Conduct and document testing** on products, comparing physical, chemical, and performance attributes against established targets or existing brands.
- **Support the development of product specifications** and ensure smooth handoff to the Quality Control team.
- **Work closely with Operations and Regulatory** to create, record, and approve Product Master Formulas and Specifications.
- **Oversee the product stability program** in partnership with the R&D Manager and Regulatory teams.
- **Prioritize multiple tasks** across samples for production, R&D, and stability studies to ensure efficient project execution.
- **Assist in managing and investigating complaints, deviations, and non-conformance issues**, driving continuous improvement.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- **Post-secondary degree** in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field (Health Canada recognized Science or Engineering degree preferred).
- **Experience in Personal Care, Automotive Lubricants, Industrial Cleaners, Aerosols**, or a similar industry is a plus.
- **At least 2 years of GMP/ISO lab experience** in a regulated environment.
- **Strong independent work ethic**, with the ability to perform with mínimal supervision.
- **Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills**, with a passion for troubleshooting and finding creative solutions.
- **Familiarity with regulatory standards** (PMRA, EPA GMP principles, ICH, GLP, ISO17025, HPFBI, FDA 21 CFR 211) is an asset.
- **Proven experience in a GMP-regulated industry** (Pharmaceutical, Food, Consumer Products, or Personal Care) in a Technical or Production role.
- **Excellent communication skills**—both written and verbal—fluent in English.
- **Strong attention to detail** and a commitment to accuracy.
- **Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments**, with strong multitasking capabilities.
- **Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)** is required.
