**General Description**:
**Dock Master** is responsible for ensuring the loading docks are well maintained by designating parking spots for trucks and ensuring the path is clear for cars to drive out.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Perform general cleaning and snow removal where services are not met or performed by the contractor
- Perform regular inspection/maintenance duties on building equipment (including pumps, fans, boilers, chillers, and motors) as part of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program
- Daily monitoring of Fire Safety systems to ensure equipment is fully functional.
- Monthly testing and maintenance of Fire Life Safety systems within the scope of the Fire Code
- Assist general contractor with annual fire safety verifications and testing
- Assume and initiate corrective action for any operational problems
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist at other locations within the company as requested

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Has a basic knowledge of building operations.
- Has the ability to perform minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems repairs
- Has knowledge of building codes and safety standards as set forth by the provincial and federal governments.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be detail oriented and have good scheduling skills.
