**Job Description**:
The **Patient Care Assistant (Personal Support Worker)**, will assist with the provision of patient care and the efficient operation of the unit/area under the direction of a health care professional. As the Patient Care Assistant you will care for patients in the Emergency Department. Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, Emergency Department, in this role you will care for patients and families in conjunction with an interdisciplinary team and according to hospital and department policies and procedures.
- Completed a recognized program for personal support worker
- Current Basic Rescuer Certificate in Basic Cardiac Life support
- Member of the Ontario Personal Support Worker Association (OPSWA) and/or Personal Support Network of Ontario (PSNO) an asset
- Previous patient care experience in hospital environment or health related community work, preferred
