The Position: GEC requires an individual to teach the Culinary Arts Program in Winnipeg, MB. In addition to teaching duties, the instructor will be responsible for classroom management, student supervision and advising, maintenance of student records and grades, curriculum review/development and other administrative tasks.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:
Apprenticeship policy for instructors delivering accredited training program curricula requires that instructors meet the following requirements:

- Hold a valid journeyperson certificate in the trade they are teaching
- Have completed,or be enrolled in, a provincially recognized teaching certificate program, such as a Certificate in Teaching for Learning in Applied Education(TFL)(formerly Certificate in Adult Education) or Technical Vocational Teacher Education.
- Hold other credentials as the Executive Director may require
- Must demonstrate strong cooking skills and passion for culinary arts and the restaurant business
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Non-judgmental and accepting attitude, with the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to follow direction and make decisions within the parameters of the job
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Strong ability to work independently and as a team member
- Good computer skills MS Office
- Any other duties as assigned
- Must live in Winnipeg areas.

**Assets**:

- Culinary Arts graduate
- Experience in delivering adult education
- Experience in delivery of Cook/Culinary Arts technical training

**Working Hours/Wages**:

- 9:00 - 3:00 Mon-Fri
- Competitive salary based on qualification and experience
