D&G Landscaping is a commercial and institutional landscaping and heavy civil construction company based in Greely, Ontario. We are proud to have worked on some of the largest landscape construction projects in our nation's capital. Our projects include Parliament (West Block & Centre Block), Lansdowne Park, Rideau Street, Elgin Street, multiple OLRT Stations to name just a few. Our laborers are unionized through LiUNA Local 527, offering competitive pay rates, health benefits, 10% vacation pay, pension & more.

Hours of operation - Seasonal (May-December)

Monday to Friday from 7am to 5:30pm

**Responsibilities**:

- Installation of soft landscape (soil grading, sodding, planting trees and plants, mulching etc.)
- Hardscape installs (e.g., armor stone walls, interlock, granite, curbs, benches, garbage cans etc.)
- Operate equipment as needed (skid steer, loader, tractor, mini-x & more)
- Follow safe handling procedures for use of equipment and tools
- Conduct daily circle checks on equipment, as required

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years in construction (preferably Landscape Construction)
- Ability to use quick cuts and other tools to prepare and lay complex interlock, granite and other design features
- Ability to rake, dig and broom different granular as needed
- Proven experience in physically demanding and/or outdoor labor
- Knowledge of landscape construction materials, processes and equipment (an asset but not necessary)
- Reliable transportation to get to/from job sites (sites are not always bus accessible)
