Miller Waste Systems Inc. has been in operation since 1961. Miller is a leader in waste management and diversion, providing governments and industries with a wide range of services in the provinces of Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Manitoba. Miller has over 50 years’ experience in the waste management sector, and currently operates out of more than 30 locations. This position will be located out of our facility in Moncton, NB.
Miller Waste Systems is looking for Class 3 Drivers with Air Endorsement. A collaborative but strong nature is essential, and the applicant’s background in trucking and customer service will allow them to be efficient and effective in operating of required equipment to ensure timely curb side collection of residential waste, recycling and organics within Miller Waste Systems.

**Responsibilities**:
In the position of Boom Truck Operator, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- The safe and efficient operation of various types of equipment and different roles.
- Must be able to operate a boom truck, used to deliver and retrieve bins to and from customer sites.
- Must have excellent knowledge of and be familiar with the towns of Truro, Amherst, Cumberland and Colchester Counties, and surrounding areas.
- Ensure customers are serviced as per their contractual requirements and schedules.
- Physical ability to open and close heavy bin doors, secure bins with straps and chains, and climb on to the truck to do so, among other duties.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Meet or exceed performance and productivity expectations through proven results.
- Comply with all Miller Waste Systems and Provincial health and safety policies and procedures.
- Must use tablet computer to update routes and radio communication system to speak with dispatch.
- Maintain your vehicle in a tidy safe condition.
- Must be willing to operate other types of equipment and do other roles, such as residential collection, when required based on operational need and equipment availability.

**Requirements**:

- Clean drivers abstract and no preventable accidents in the past year.
- Must have excellent manual dexterity in order to operate the controls of the truck.
- Minimum 1-year of experience operating a boom truck will be considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Flexibility with your work schedule is necessary as start and end times may vary. Saturdays and Statutory Holidays will be required at times.
- Effective written and verbal communication is required.
- Excellent attendance and performance record.

organization, with an ability to respond, adapt and work safely in changing, high pressure environments.
