**Rate of Pay**: Payband 11 ($98,395 - $122,994 per year, plus 4% in lieu of vacation)

**Job Summary**

The Program Manager, School of Health is responsible for the strategic planning, academic quality, scheduling, interacting with students, enrolment management and operations of the portfolio, which includes the delivery of a diverse mix of both post secondary and collaborative degree programs.

Management of the portfolio includes overseeing academic activities including scheduling, Program of Study changes, and academic standing decisions, utilizing space and resources; participating in proposal submission to secure funding, and operationalizing workflow and tracking processes

The Program Manager provides administrative and operational support for course/credential delivery, assisting with the recruitment and management of faculty, instructors and support staff, forecasting and monitoring projected resource needs; and networking with community and industry stakeholders to identify partnership, and programming and growth opportunities.

**What you’ll be doing**:
**Academic Leadership**
- **In consultation with the Associate Dean, initiating, leading and managing annual and multi-year plans and projects.
- In consultation with the Dean and Associate Dean, leading the development of a business plan for portfolio of courses and programs.
- **Working within the collective agreement, orienting and coaching support staff and faculty, and internal and external trainers and facilitators.
- Overseeing the space and resource utilization at the IAHS.
- In consultation with the Dean, Associate Dean and Operations Manager, strategically managing key financial elements of the portfolio to ensure maximum productivity and achievement of profitability objectives.
- Ensuring the effective use of Faculty financial resources, reallocating resources appropriately as necessary.
- Onboarding faculty and lab instructors through the delivery of multi-faceted training including Mohawk College policies and procedures, processes and systems, MyCanvas, quality teaching expectations, etc.
- In collaboration with the Associate Deans, School of Health, ensuring students adhere to College policies (Academic Dishonest, Rights and Responsibilities, Student Conduct, IT).
- Supporting Faculty to ensure adherence to Mohawk College policies (e.g. Academic Dishonesty, Rights & Responsibilities, Student Conduct, IT, Intellectual Property, AODA, etc.).
- Supporting Program Coordinators to manage student expectations and ensure all College policies are followed.
- Supporting the implementation and execution of quality assurance and development initiatives.
- Representing Mohawk College and the School of Health at various Committees.
- Working collaboratively with other academic departments, IT, Marketing, Financial Planning and other internal stakeholders to ensure that the coordination of offerings and engagement activities is successful.
- Leading strategic enrolment management of the portfolio including the setting, tracking and achievement of enrolment targets.
- Directing support staff to support academic operations, database maintenance and portfolio delivery.

**Quality Improvement Projects**
- **Identifying areas for improvement that support efficient processes and lab quality improvement projects.
- Enhancing strategies to improve communication, workflows, logistics and skill based lab deliveries.
- Collaborating with AD, faculty and support staff in supporting other quality improvement projects as identified.

**Growth and Development**
- **Contributing to the strategic growth and development of post-secondary and collaborative degree programs.
- Developing detailed program financial forecasts, business cases and formal proposals for new programs/ initiatives.
- Overseeing critical analysis of budget in relation to feasibility of special requests/projects, business planning strategies and initiatives.
- Engaging in outreach and negotiation to support business development opportunities designed to develop new partnerships, and programming.
- Designing and developing proposals for new funding opportunities.

**Off-Site Programming Delivery Support**
- **Overseeing the implementation and ongoing operational needs of the teaching spaces at the satellite sites, including coordination of equipment between satellites and IAHS scheduling.
