We are currently seeking **Laundry Associates** to join our team at the Holiday Inn Express Bowmanville

The position of Laundry Attendant is essential to the hotel's performance and the facility's maintenance. Someone who enjoys seeing clean wrinkle-free bedding and who enjoys clean washing should fill this position

Areas of Responsibility:

- Sorts all linen, weighs and loads into appropriate carts.
- Loads and unloads washers and dryers, operates machines and records poundage amounts, and amounts washed and dried.
- Folds towels by hand, hand folds pillow cases, blankets, bed pads, draw sheets, herbal wraps etc.
- Sorts and separates damaged or stained linen, i.e., to be repaired or used as rags.
- Cleans lint traps from dryers daily; checks and cleans drains as necessary.
- Maintains clean laundry area, sweeps and mops floor, cleans washers and dryers, empties trash, organizes carts, cleans back sorting area and sweeps porch on loading dock.
- Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.
- **Must be available to work weekends and holidays.**
- **Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time and able to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.**
- **Must be alert and safety conscious at all times.**
- **Move, lift, carry push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.**
- **Must be able to work in a hot/humid environment.**

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8-40 per week

**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour
