**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Warehouse Clerk to join our Richmond Warehouse team. In this role you will prepare, package, and assemble orders for shipment, verify accuracy against customer orders, and ensure correct quantities, destinations, and routing. You will also maintain accurate documentation manually or by computer, assist with physical inventory movement, and follow all safety and company policies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Retain and verify all shipping records, bills of lading, invoices and orders.
- Reference bill of lading and following standard procedures as instructed.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inbound and outbound shipments and adhere to specified routing methods.
- Assist and support our “bag & tag” production processes and procedures with a strong attention to detail.
- Support our front desk “customer pickup” area to ensure timely service and accurate distribution of orders.
- Prepare documentation for shipment of materials, parts, finished goods and related items.
- Assist in the physical inventory count and administrative duties as required.
- Maintain accurate files and records in shipping/receiving documents for domestic and international transactions.
- Ensure proper operation of tools and equipment, such as: scales, hand and power trucks, computers, etc.
- Report shortages or incomplete orders to all affected parties, including but not limited to Supervisor, Customer Service, Operations and Management.
- Adhere to Company policies by perform all duties safely, wearing required personal protective equipment, such as: safety glasses, back support, etc.
- Works with Carriers to obtain freight rates, schedule shipments.
- Observe all safety rules and immediately report hazards to the department supervisor.
- Be punctual and at work daily.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Able to speak, read and write in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of shipping/receiving experience.
- Computer literate with an understanding of QAD or other MRP systems is an asset.
- Customer focused with a strong attention to detail.
- Good manual dexterity with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly.
- Team Play and positive attitude is a must.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$21.50 per hour
