**Job description**

Ontech Rapid Coatings, a partnership between ENWIN Energy and Tessonics Inc., uses cutting edge corrosion control and coating solutions to prolong the life of physical assets within the utility, automotive and aeronautics sectors across North America.

Cold Spray Technicians (CSTs) make surface repairs to electrical and water equipment surfaces (primarily steel material) such as transformer cabinets and water distribution piping and other surfaces using traditional compressed air and hand tools, and a range of other specialty repair tools such as low-pressure cold spray apparatus, grinders, sanders and paint spray guns.

A career in cold spray repair can cover a number of different areas, such as surface preparation, paint and refinishing, small area material replacement.

As this is a very hands-on position, CSTs are required to travel across Southwestern Ontario to to make these surface repairs and perform cold spray duties. On-the-job training will be mandatory for all new hires.

**Main duties**
- Assess corroded surfaces to determine the degree of surface preparation, cold spray and finish painting required for the equipment being treated.
- Surface preparation of equipment surface
- Repair holes by sand blast surface preparation followed by mechanically attaching a replacement piece of aluminium
- Remove and replace damaged panels using wrenches as required
- Grind and sand repaired panel surfaces using hand and power tools
- Mask and tape panel surfaces in preparation for cold spraying and painting
- Mix paint, blend and match colors
- Replace equipment identification and warning stickers
- Replace equipment lock
- Inspect repaired surfaces
- Complete repair report
- Other duties as assigned

**Salary**: $19.00-$30.00 per hour
