**LOSS PREVENTION ASSOCIATE**

**Kent is the largest retail building supply chain in Atlantic Canada. **In addition to our retail stores, we operate truss manufacturing facilities and a wholesale drywall company. We are a member of Independent Lumber Dealers Co-operative which ensures our great product selection and pricing.**

**Loss Prevention Associates** are responsible for the loss prevention program within the store. They work a varied schedule and must be able to handle confidential information and work professionally at all times.
Typical career steps are to work in process improvement or become a district loss prevention manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reviewing and maintaining the store’s security system
- Surveillance of all areas including perimeter checks
- Ensuring cycle counts are completed
- Presenting tips at team meetings and associate orientation
- Assisting in investigations with the district loss prevention manager

**Requirements**:

- Can work independently with high attention to detail and a sense of urgency
- Able to communicate with people of various ages and backgrounds such as summer students, customers and law enforcement
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with investigations is an asset
- Knowledge of building supplies is an asset

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dartmouth, NS B3B 0N1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Loss Prevention: 1 year (preferred)
