Maintenance - Cleaner

**Job Title**: Airport Cleaner

**Shift**: Full time roles available (Day, Afternoon and Overnights)

**Wage**: $18.81/hr + benefits

**Location**: Vancouver International Airport (Richmond, BC)

**What you will be doing**:

- Disinfecting all high touchpoint areas
- Using cleaning equipment and/or machinery to provide the shine and cleanliness that enhances the guest and passenger experience at YVR
- Sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming
- Cleaning building common areas, hallways, lobbies, bathrooms, elevators, etc
- Collecting and disposing of trash in garbage containers on a regular basis
- Restocking cleaning carts with necessary supplies and equipment
- Spot cleaning walls, ceilings, partitions, light switches and window sills
- Informing Supervisor of any need to replace supplies, equipment, or reporting concerns
- Providing a positive guest and passenger experience by making an Active Offer (“Hello/Bonjour”) and answering typical questions, such as directions to the washrooms, the luggage carousels, or the parkade
- This role requires some physical exertion, such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and walking.

**You have**:

- Motivation to help Alpine be an extension of YVR’s reputation for exceptional guest and passenger experience
- A willingness to work and learn
- Transportation Security Clearance (RAIC) or the ability to obtain such clearance
- Knowledge of WHMIS is not required, but considered an asset
- Cleaning experience is considered an asset, but not required
- Ability to speak other languages is an asset but not required
