Location: Toronto, Canada

Thales people architect solutions that support 85 million mainline and suburban passenger journeys, worldwide, every day. Our Rail Signalling and Communication systems are used on metro lines across major cities, and 72,000 kms of route, 52,000 trains per day in 16 countries are controlled by our Traffic Management Systems. Together We deployed the first-ever nationwide ticketing system which processes over 50 million ticketing transactions in 100 cities daily.

The Project Planner is responsible for creating and managing the project schedule in accordance with Thales/GTS and/or contractual process.

Key Requirements:

- Create, update and monitor the Project schedule in Primavera with inputs from Project Team members
- Comply with project reporting requirements as defined by process or contract
- Work with the Project Team to generate monthly and quarterly updates of ETC/EAC and labour demand
- Provide reports/metrics including Critical Path, Earned Value, EAC variance, Critical milestones movement, KPIs & labor forecasts to the Core Project Team and management.
- Foster an environment of cooperation, commitment and buy-in amongst the Project Team members and the Heads of Disciplines
- Provide support to the Project Team with information to support Claims and Variation orders during project execution

Required Skills and Experience:

- Possesses a university degree and/or has strong equivalent working experience directly related to the role
- 4+ years of experience in complex technology projects
- Advanced level skills and hands on experience in Primavera software is a must
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
- Able to understand complex technologies
- Able to plan and manage project schedules requiring up to 1000 ongoing activities

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Good communication skills
- Strong organizational skills in planning complex tasks and several teams
