Kafka's Coffee is a quality driven cafe. We focus on carefully preparing coffee and food to order and genuine customer service. From our homemade baked goods to our delicious sandwiches made to order, Kafka's kitchen is focusing on fresh, simple and excellent food. We make almost everything from scratch in house including breads, sauces, and marinades.

As we're expanding we're looking for a cook to join our team.

This is a full time daytime position. Weekend availability is required.

No nights.

Need to have minimum 1 year experience as a cook.

Since opening we have been fortunate to have staff that stay around for the long haul and that is something we are proud of - we want to develop long standing positive relationships with our staff and customers. We prefer open dialogue and want our staff to express their opinions and bring their own personality to all positions.

We also give you free coffee, one meal per shift, discounts on food when not on shift, good music, and a chance to work with a close knit and positive team. This location is easily accessible on the bike route and by transit.

Job Title: Kitchen cook

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare meals such as sandwiches and salads on order.
- Follow recipes and measurements accurately to ensure consistent quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a cook
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Excellent time management skills
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy ingredients or equipment as needed

Pay: $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
