**Job Summary**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Safely remove and dispose of hazardous materials such as asbestos, mold, lead, and silica according to WorkSafeBC and company guidelines
- Set up and maintain containment areas, negative air pressure systems, and decontamination zones
- Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators and protective suits
- Use hand tools and specialized equipment to perform abatement work (e.g., scrapers, HEPA vacuums, negative air machines)
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including daily hazard assessments and safe work practices
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including daily reports and exposure control documentation
- Work effectively as part of a team and take direction from site supervisors or project managers
- Perform general cleanup duties at the worksite
- Communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, and supervisors
**Qualifications & Skills**
- Proven experience in a technician role or similar position is preferred
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools is essential
- Ability to clean, build, and restore various types of equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and management
- A commitment to safety protocols in all tasks performed
- *Experience in Emergency Fire and Flood Restoration is an asset, but we also provide on-site training_

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
