We are looking for an Embalmer join our team in North York at the Simple Alternative Toronto. - Focus primarily on embalming and preparation - Respond to information and service inquiries - Co-ordinate and/or conduct activities associated with family needs such as services, transfers, preparation of human remains and any other activities associated with their needs - Co-ordinate the ordering and reconciling of funeral products - Perform other sundry tasks as assigned **Hours/Days of Work**: - Schedule is a combination of 7.5-hour days, evenings and weekends **Qualifications**: - Valid Funeral Director - Class 1 Licence - At least three years’ experience as a Licenced Embalmer in a high-volume environment - Funeral directing and arranging experience - A valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s licence and clean driving record - Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office - Able to provide funeral services to various faiths and cultures - Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills - Professional demeanour - Keen eye for detail and ability to multi-task **Job Type**: Fixed term contract Contract length: 12 months Schedule: - Day shift - Night shift - Weekend availability **Experience**: - embalming: 3 years (required) - funeral arranging: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: - Class 1 Funeral Director's licence (required) - full "G" driver's licence (required) Work Location: One location
