- Geology Data Specialist, Edmonton/Hybrid

**Location and Reporting Structure**:

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, this position will be based in Edmonton with travel to the Goose site in Nunavut.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design and implement geospatial datasets accessible across multiple operational sites. Manage and optimize geological and mining data within SQL databases;
- Develop dashboards and visual tools using Power BI, ArcGIS Insights, or similar platforms;
- Automate data analysis and reporting workflows with Python scripting (preferred);
- Perform regular validation and QA/QC checks on geological data, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with geologists and engineers to identify and rectify data inconsistencies or errors;
- Assist with the integration of field data into database systems for grade control, ore delineation, and reconciliation;
- Provide support for orebody modeling, stockpile tracking, and sampling protocols;
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to improve geologists' proficiency in data tools, analysis, and database management;
- Manage the technical aspects of geological hazard identification and data reporting for underground and open pit operations;and
- Support drill targeting, collar setup, and progress tracking for exploration programs.

**Desired Competencies and Requirements**:

- Five (5) years’ experience in mining and mineral exploration, preferably in a gold mining environment;
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field; Certification in GIS or database systems is an asset;
- Proficiency with SQL databases (implementation, management, and querying); Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI and ArcGIS Insights;
- Experience with geospatial software (e.g., ArcGIS, Surfer) and modeling tools (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, Datamine); and
- Basic Python scripting skills for data processing and analysis.
