Bilingual Financial Analyst

Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job opening in Montreal. The Financial Analyst Volume Rebate is responsible for financial business information and analysis in support of the Volume rebate accrual and earnings for the company’s reporting processes. The Financial Analyst will provide support to the VP Finance, the President and all the Strategic Business Unit Leaders.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure RV agreements are in place to substantiate variables used to calculate RV programs through the in-house Financial Package tool.
- Responsible for maintaining our Financial Package tool.
- Develop a strong technical understanding of our Activity Based Costing, Sales and Financial Package tool in order to become a reference on it
- Collect Volume rebate earned and not received from Vendors.
- Monitor and reconcile accuracy of RV programs from a financial perspective through direct coordination with the relative vendors by ensuring vendors are meeting their financial obligation from reporting and payment.
- Validate any RV difference from vendor confirmation or payment compared to our accrual.
- Create Journal entry to book accrual and recognize any gain or loss.
- Ensure the integrity of our revenue recognition at month end close.
- Understand and analyze the performance as compared to the prior year.
- Provide support to the VP Segments Strategy and Category manager.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports by vendor as required.
- Create, prepare, and analyze different growth programs.
- Send monthly or quarterly reports to vendors.
- Assist with one or more general ledger accounts in assigned accounting area(s) to include preparation of supporting schedules, preparation of appropriate journal entries, and reconciliation of account(s).
- Improve and automate our different processes.

**Qualifications**:

- Bilingual (French and English)
- Proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Autonomous and organizational skills
- Problem-solving skills (analytical and intuitive)
- Time management skills & capacity to manage priorities and respect important deadlines.
- Must enjoy precise work, requires an affinity for details.
- The incumbent will need to be familiar with company systems, processes, and resources.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- University degree in Accounting or field related
- An accounting designation or in progress will be an asset.
