**We are actively recruiting Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) and Early Childhood Paraprofessionals (ECPs) to join our centre team at River Heights Early Childhood Learning Centre at** **4269 Hamilton Rd, Dorchester, ON N0L 1G3.**

**Position Summary**
As a Classroom Educator, you will join a team of passionate professionals dedicated to caring for and educating children ages 0-5. You will plan and implement curriculum, facilitate engaging learning experiences, and foster curiosity alongside the children while continually deepening your understanding of the classroom culture you cultivate.
**Responsibilities**
- Maintain active supervision and prioritize the physical and emotional safety of children at all times
- Plan and implement curriculum by fostering and nurturing child-led learning experiences that support children in exploring topics that cultivate their curiosity and align with organizational values and principles
- Seek to understand children’s diverse needs by providing an inclusive group care program that responds to all personal care needs of children throughout the day (e.g. diapering, toileting, meal gatherings, rest time, transition times, etc.)
- Comprehend and adhere to the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), health and safety guidelines, and London Bridge policies and procedures
- Participate in team meetings, professional learning and staff training opportunities, and build and maintain relationships with community partners
**Qualifications**
- Experience working with children, including those with diverse needs, is considered an asset
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills
- Curious, reflective, and eager for ongoing professional growth
- Demonstrates a high degree of flexibility and adaptability in responding to the evolving needs, interests, and dynamics of the children, the program, and the environment
- If applicable, member in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education
- **OR;**:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in related field (including but not limited to Social Service Worker (SSW), Developmental Service Worker (DSW), Child and Youth Worker (CYW), BA in Psychology, Child and Youth Studies, Sociology etc.)
- Vulnerable Sectors Check within the last 6 months
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C (WSIB approved)
- Immunizations Records (Tetanus Toxoid and Rubella)
