Accounting Manager

**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of the accounting department, including; accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and inter-company transactions.
- Manage Cashflow and account balances
- Ensure that monthly & year-end activities are completed in a timely manner, including tax remittance, Review Engagements, lender reviews, audits, etc.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff to foster professional development within the team.
- Facilitate regular communications and meetings between all departments, including safety, dispatch, maintenance & operations.
- Oversee general office and administration activities

**Experience**
- Minimum 5 years of accounting, bookkeeping or finance experience.
- An Accounting or Bookkeeping Certification, or equivalent
- Oil & Gas and/or Transportation/Carrier experience is an asset
- Experience with Customer Invoicing portals such as OpenInvoice and working with upload/API tools
- Proficiency in Quickbooks online, Microsoft Office & Sharepoint
- Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, GST & Taxes, bank reconciliation, and general accounting principles.
- A basic understanding of HR, Payroll and Alberta Employment Standards
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Professional verbal & written communication with internal & external stakeholder.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Freelance, Internship / Co-op

Pay: $55,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
