- Have a working understanding of labor unit pricing, cost analysis, profit margins, and risk management as they relate to the construction estimating process including RS Means,
- Effectively analyze and interpret bid documents to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Manage incoming bids from vendors and subcontractors
- Maintain an understanding of industry and market conditions that may influence the construction process and mitigate potential setbacks.
- Complete on-screen and physical drawing-based estimates, take-offs, budgets, proposals, and scope letters for self-performed general trades work including commercial fit-outs, carpentry, paint, flooring, and civil site work.
- Work in coordination with the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Estimating and Project Management teams as well as General Trades Superintendents to perform project turnover, buy-outs, and closeout of projects.
- Responsible for the creation and tracking of equipment submittals, and Operations & Maintenance manuals.
Pay: $5,000.00-$6,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Québec City, QC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
**Experience**:
- construction estimating: 1 year (preferred)
