**Responsibilities**:
- Complete deliveries to customers according to the delivery route determined by the Route Planner
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks
- Rigorously follow safe driving practices and follow all Ministry of Transportation regulations. Perform and maintain an Hours of Service log book as required by Provincial Legislation
- Responsible for Health and Safety procedures. This includes, but is not limited to: Ensuring deliveries are loaded and secured in a safe manner prior to operating the vehicle, performing a daily pre & post circle check, and notifying fleet support of any issues with equipment immediately
- Responsible for carrying proper documentation in the truck at all times as required by Provincial Legislation
- Complete deliveries with the use of an Electronic Signature Capture device
- Complete all necessary delivery documentation according to established procedures
- Take part in ongoing education and training
- Responsible for completing end-of-day procedures
- Execute all other duties in the scope of the position and/or asked by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications:
**Must Haves**
- Minimum three (3) years' experience driving commercial vehicles (minimum DZ designation) in a customer-focused industry
- Certification to operate a boom truck
- Clean Personal Driver's Abstract and CVOR
- Experience loading and unloading commercial vehicles
- Demonstrated interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills to effectively build a positive relationship with team members and customers
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to convey messages in a clear manner
- Ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced environment
- Able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
**Nice to Haves**
- Knowledge of local routes
