Security Guard

**SECURITY GUARD (Overnights)**

Part Time (24 Hrs/Week)

Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays

10pm - 6am

$16 / hr

(Possible increase after completion of a 6 month probation period)

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to provide overnight security at a residential building for those aged 50+.

**Responsibilities**
- Monitor premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems, including CCTV.
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, and other unlawful activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, assessing threats and taking appropriate action.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries in a professional manner.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in law enforcement or security roles.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems, loss prevention strategies, and emergency response protocols is advantageous.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and the public.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must hold a valid MB Security Guard license. (Please indicate your license number on your resume for verification).
- Must be physically capable of extended patrols on foot, standing for extended periods, and be able to safely lift loads up to 60 lbs.

**WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN WORKING WITH US**

Tacit Security personnel are responsible for ensuring our client’s safety and security. They are held to the highest level of professionalism in the course of executing their duties, ensuring that all uniforms and equipment are properly fitted, worn, clean, and functional. Many of our members are well trained, and come with years of experience and expertise in various aspects of Security. Once within our ranks, you will be tasked with patrols and inspections of the properties we protect, with the goal of mitigating and responding to fire, theft, vandalism, illegal activity, and any other threats to the safety and security of our clients and their assets. You will be the first line of defense against many of these threats, and will often make the initial contact with appropriate Emergency Response organizations, such as EMS, Police, and Fire departments. You are a problem solver, and will make quick decisions under stressful situations. Utilizing industry leading technology, you will document evidence and complete daily reports outlining observations and activities during assigned shifts.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
