**The Opportunity**

Smythe LLP is seeking a highly motivated US Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager with solid tax planning and compliance experience to join our growing cross-border tax practice. As part of our diverse practice, you will work directly with clients, partners and managers in implementing US and cross border tax planning and compliance services to Canadian businesses expanding, operating, restructuring, or exiting the United States. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual that wants to work in a fast-paced environment with a growing firm.

**Your day-to-day**
- Manage and coordinate tax planning and compliance services for corporations, partnerships, and other multilevel cross border entity structures.
- Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections and project budgets.
- Review assessments and correspond with the IRS, state authorities on various issues.
- Understand and communicate business opportunities, risks, and strategy within the lens of US and cross border taxation.
- Build and manage client relationships at a senior level; advise clients by delivering high quality tax service and advice.

Assist with developing and delivering tax technical training sessions to the team.

Actively mentor and coach team members to their highest potential.

**What We Are Looking For**
- Hybrid work environment at least two days a week in person at your primary office location.
- Canadian CPA and/or US CPA/EA preferred.
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and research tax issues, and the creative spark to formulate innovative solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, combined with a passionate client service orientation.

**What Smythe offers**

**Salary**: $74,181.25-$122,350.95 per year
