Job Description:
A Psychologist is required to offer services to families referred to the outpatient mental health program. The Psychologist will work with individuals and families, providing psychological assessments, interventions and consultative services within the CAPA (Choice and Partnership Approach) framework to care. CAPA is a service transformation model that combines collaborative and participatory practice with service users to enhance effectiveness, leadership, skills modelling and demand and capacity management. The Psychologist will work with children and youth up to 18 years old and their families, providing assessment and evidence based individual, family and group psychotherapy and interventions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIE:
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessment, with a focus on diagnostic formulation as well as short-term interventions.- Provide psychological treatment using different approaches- Provide risk assessment and short-term crisis intervention services within Rapid Response Pathway- Facilitate parent groups- Liaise with community psychologists and other health care professionals- Provide supervision/training to pre-doctoral psychology interns and offer learning opportunities to other student professionals in training.- Work within CAPA framework- Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings.- Performs administrative tasks such as maintaining clinical documentation, progress notes, workload statistics and updating health records in accordance with established standards.- Participates in and supports clinical research activities with the inter-professional team members.- Carries other responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS- Vulnerable Sector Check (Level 3) (Essential)- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from a CPA or APA accredited clinical psychology program (Essential)- Registration as a Psychologist in Ontario or eligibility for registration (Essential)- Designated practice as a Psychologist in the area of Clinical Psychology with children and adolescents (Essential)- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the assessment of children and adolescents presenting with severe and complex mental health problems (Essential)- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in different individual psychotherapeutic modalities (e.g. CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, etc.) (Essential)- Demonstrated experience running parenting groups (Essential)- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in family therapy (Essential)- Experience in Group Facilitation (Essential)- Experience in a pediatric medical setting (Essential)- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team (Essential)- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals (Essential)- Bilingual - Fluency in both French and English (preferred)- Supervision experience (preferred)- Knowledge and experience with Choice and Partnership Approach (preferred)
