Part-time Warehouse Manager

Chens BC Distribution is undergoing an exciting transformation and are seeking a dynamic **Part-Time Warehouse Manager** to lead our small but efficient warehouse team. This role is perfect for a proactive and organized leader who thrives in managing inventory, optimizing processes, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations while working collaboratively with sales and transportation partners.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Team Leadership**:

- Supervise and manage a small team of warehouse staff, providing clear instructions, training, and ongoing support.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.

**2. Inventory Management**:

- Oversee the proper handling and storage of goods with **expiration and best-before dates** to ensure quality and compliance.
- Implement and manage **FIFO (First In, First Out)** processes to minimize waste and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with the sales team to anticipate inventory needs and prioritize replenishment.

**3. Operations and Equipment Management**:

- Operate a **reach forklift** safely and efficiently to move, store, and replenish goods.
- Ensure inventory is replenished and organized to meet operational demands.

**4. Technology and Systems**:

- Use **inventory management software** to track stock levels, manage replenishment, and generate reports.
- Maintain accurate records and provide updates on stock availability and movements.

**5. Transportation and Vendor Coordination**:

- Communicate with various transportation companies to obtain competitive quotations and arrange for shipments.
- Oversee the receiving of goods to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.

**6. Continuous Improvement**:

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and warehouse operations during the transformation process.

**Qualifications**:

- **Leadership Experience**: Proven ability to manage and motivate small teams in a warehouse environment.
- **Inventory Management Expertise**: Familiarity with handling goods with expiration dates and implementing FIFO processes.
- **Technical Skills**: Strong proficiency in **inventory management software** and other computer systems (Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, etc.).
- **Forklift Certification**: Experience operating a **reach forklift** with valid certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication for coordinating with transportation companies, vendors, and sales teams.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to handle warehouse challenges effectively.

Pay: $20.26-$24.09 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 30 per week
