MILLER WASTE SYSTEMS - Roll-Off Driver

**Reporting to**: Operations Manager

**Start Date**: To be determined

**Description**:
Miller Waste Systems is looking for a Roll-off Driver for our Truro, NS location, with extensive experience in the Trucking and Customer Service Industry. The successful applicant will have responsibility for operating a Roll-off truck or multiple waste and recycling collection trucks. A collaborative but cooperative approach is essential, and the applicant’s background in trucking industry and customer service experience will allow them to excel within Miller Waste.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operating a Roll-off truck or various waste and recycling collection trucks
- Coordinate timely pick-up and delivery of containers
- Develop/maintain high productivity
- Have excellent customer services skills, as you will be the front-line contact with the customers
- In addition to duties above you will also be cross trained in other lines of business and equipment and may be called on from time to time to take on other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to adhere to Miller Waste Systems safety protocols and must be familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Valid and clean Class 3 Driver’s License
- Must be a team player and proven safe working habits
- Previous driving experience is a requirement
- Excellent attendance record is a must
- Excellent interpersonal skills along with written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility with your work schedule is a must as start and end times may vary
- A physically fit lifestyle would be a benefit and previous waste industry experience would be considered an asset
- Must be available to work Saturdays when required as well as to help with the residential collection process from time-to-time by working on a collection truck
