Our client is a leading distributor of fasteners located in Kitchener, Ontario. They pride themselves on their commitment to excellence, customer satisfaction, and employee well-being. They are currently seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their team and help them maintain their high standards.
**The Opportunity**:
As the HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the workforce is well-managed, engaged, and aligned with company goals. You will oversee all aspects of human resources, being primarily responsible for the effective and consistent coordination of HR business practices, functions, and procedures. You will support the execution of strategic programs and initiatives.
**Key Accountabilities**:
Staffing & Resourcing:
- Prepare frontline resource forecasting
- Conduct resource and hiring needs assessment
- Support role development, role review and rating activities
- Review and revise frontline role descriptions
- Prepare internal recruiting campaigns and execute
- Prepare external recruiting campaigns and execute
- Prepare and present employment offers
- Oversee HR Orientation and Onboarding and continuous improvement Program
- Support ongoing in-role employee development, identify training and development opportunities
Total Compensation:
- Conduct labour market comparative analysis for frontline roles
- Review and recommend improvements to Benefits Plan Design
- Liaise with social committee
- Oversee Profit Sharing Program administration
- Manage additional employee benefits and make recommendations for improvement.
Manage Core HR Functions:
- Plan and execute projects
- Manage Timekeeping and Attendance Tracking
- Manage Payroll
- Manage Vacation Entitlements
- Manage Pension Administration
- Manage Benefits Administration
Health & Safety:
- Plan ongoing and value-adding health and safety training for all roles
- Conduct workplace investigations working closely with legal advisors
- Liaise and engage with the JHSC
**Knowledge and Skills**:
- CHRP or CHRL designation required
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources
- Well-developed professional communications skills
- Knowledge of Payroll controls and practices
- Knowledge of workplace violence and harassment policies and protocols
- Knowledge of the _Employment Standards Act_ and _Occupational Health & Safety Act_
