**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare professional to join our team. This position requires a passion for working with young children, along with the ability to assist in meal preparation and maintain kitchen cleanliness.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, adhering to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food handling regulations.
- Ensure meals meet the nutritional needs of the children in accordance with the daycare’s food policies and Alberta Child Care regulations.
- Manage food storage, preparation, and handling to ensure food safety and minimize waste.
- Monitor the cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring high standards of hygiene.
- Work closely with the daycare team to accommodate special dietary requirements or allergies, ensuring all children have safe and nutritious meals.
- Maintain records of food inventory and meal preparation for reporting purposes.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a daycare or childcare setting
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Completion of a food safety training course approved by AHS (ex: Food Handler Certificate)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
