Your demonstration of organization/time-management skills, along with your personal and ethical behaviour, is of paramount importance in this position. We are busy, but a fun place to work. This position will be in charge of monitoring, and ensuring that all safety protocols are in place, met by and adhered to by all employees, subcontractors and visitors to the sites. You would be responsible for ensuring compliance of the health and Safety Management System (HSMS) and managing COR documents, as well as Internal Auditing the HSMS. Knowledge of OHSA and construction regulations, as well as COR2020 is essential. The ability to interact with people in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive and efficient, with a high level of professionalism is key to success in this role. Previous experience in the construction industry with COR is a Must **Shift hours**: Monday to Friday 7 to 5, Some evenings Depending on operations **Key tasks**: - Create and administer the HSE Program (Including Orientation, WHMIS, AODA, Hazard Recognition etc.) - Provide direction and support for managers, workers, and sub-contractors regarding health and safety - Ensure all work parties fulfill their responsibilities for the HSMS - Maintain appropriate files and documentation, in accordance with company policy - Complete KPI, Track safety stats, identify trends, identify Hazards, create HIRA, Pre JHA, JHAs - Ensure safety files and documents are prepared, shared, and logged with a high level of accuracy and within required timeframes - Ensure and follow up with sub-contractors to obtain required information, Proof of training, Internal Orientation completed prior to going to site, Insurance, WSIB etc. - Maintain records of training, training Matrix, Book external training - Provide efficient service to clients, managers, and supervisors by responding professionally and with a sense of urgency. - Conduct workplace safety audits, help with the JHSC meetings, Support Supervisors and H&S reps with inspections - Incident and near miss investigations, Create corrective action plans, address deficiencies - Update manual, SWP, SJP, H&S boards. - Internal COR Audit, Correspond with IHSA, WSIB, MOE, MOL when necessary **Desired Skills and Experience** - 5- 10 years of experience providing Health and Safety support to a team - 3 - 5 years in a Supervisory/ Management Position - COR Internal Auditing Certificate (All 4 Courses) - Training, preparing, facilitating for Adult Learning - Working at Heights, Hoisting and Rigging, trench awareness, confined space and JHSC 1 & 2 - University or College degree / diploma an asset - NCSO an Assest - Previous roles in commercial construction environment is an asset - Experienced in hours of service, Highway traffic act and half loads - Experienced in Microsoft Office, Teams and Able to learn new programs quickly.
