**Job Summary**:
The Shipping/Receiving Inventory Controller is responsible for shipping & receiving, picking assembly orders and production material, and handling the setup and management of shop inventory systems.

**Responsibilities & Essential functions**:

- Implement and maintain all inventory control related activities in Plant 2 and offsite
- Work directly with Production Controller regarding min and max inventory stock levels
- Pick and package assembly orders
- Perform routine cycle counts and adjust inventory as required
- Assist in development of inventory policy and initiate changes as required
- Deliver and route materials to other departments using material handling devices
- Utilize electronic scanning equipment (e.g., bar code scanning equipment)
- Manage, pick, pack and ship finished goods for customer stock program
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, packing slips, or orders, to verify accuracy of shipment and report discrepancies
- Adhere to standard and customer specific shipping and receiving policies/procedures and regulatory compliance procedures
- Determine shipping method for materials using knowledge of standard and cross border shipping procedures, routes and rates
- Maintain shipping/receiving and stock areas in plant 2
- Backup driver for internal delivery service
- Backup to plant 1 shipping/receiving
- Assist with 5S and organizational initiatives
- Attend employee meetings and safety talks as required
- Perform other tasks as required

**Requirements**:

- Have a working understanding of Health & Safety best practice and OH&S Legislation
- Ability to perform physical labour for extended periods
- Have organizational & time management skills; attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and desire to accommodate requests
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license (clean record)
- Forklift experience
- Possess intermediate computer skills and competency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with Jobboss would be considered an asset
- Mandatory police check, must pass controlled goods check

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
