Ottawa Foyers Partage is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing individuals with disabilities stable and safe living accommodations while offering opportunities to engage in leisure, recreation, volunteering, learning, and work activities that align with their rights, aspirations, abilities, and needs.

Funding for this position comes from the Canada Summer Jobs Grant. All applicants _must_ meet the following requirements:

- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Please note that international students are not eligible. However, recent immigrants who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents are eligible._

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintains grant deadlines and a program tracker
- Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information and shares information with the development team
- Coordinates requirements with various program staff and contributes proposal status information.
- Creating a fundraising and grant writing strategy for ongoing use by the organization
- Creating a grant funding schedule to support consistent funding
- Developing strategies, best practices, and templates to support future fundraising and grants
- Creating logic models and gathering background information for grants and fundraising.
- Support with budgeting for grants and fundraising proposals.
- Support with developing goals in determining funding streams.

**Collaboration and Communication**:

- Has excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated history of appropriately handling communication with donors
- Ability to engage in appropriate documentation

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree preferred in Communications, Journalism, Media, Non-Profit
- Proven experience in grant writing, prospect research, general fundraising or comparable and transferable skills acquired in a professional setting
- Experience developing grant writing and fundraising strategies
- Experience working with and developing a marketing plan.
- Ability to measure the success of campaigns
- Understanding of the donor market, willingness to research markets outside of Ontario and nationally
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with external partners
- High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite, including OneDrive and SharePoint.
- Fluency in Excel and Canva.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to engage in strategic planning and process improvement
- Strong drive for results and proven ability to stay focused on goals; ability to prioritize competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills, ability to follow processes and attention to detail
- Strong written communication and presentation skills
