**summary**

Kajk Constructors is looking for a full-time Solar Installer/Technician to join our construction team, installing rooftop solar systems in Ottawa and the surrounding area. applicants should be comfortable working with tools at heights and carrying heavy loads. If required, we provide compensation for mileage or out of town work. Solar training is available for those who don't have experience.

**Hourly Pay Range**: Based on experience

**responsibilities**

  • Working in a team environment
  • Following scheduled service calls to clients’ homes
  • Assembling Racking systems
  • Assembling and connect Photovoltaic Panels
  • Ensuring all work will pass QA/QC requirements
  • Identifying and troubleshooting issues with the solar PV systems
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies and procedures
  • Performing all additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

  • Ability to learn and take instruction
  • Responsible, self-driven, highly motivated, and able to work with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner
  • Ability to work with safety equipment such as ladders, fall-restriction harnesses, and other personal protective equipment
  • Must have the means to commute to and from the job site(s)
  • Must be able to work weekdays
  • CPR, First Aid, and other safety certificates are an asset
  • Highschool diploma is welcome, but not mandatory
  • Solar installation experience is an asset
  • Pay is determined on solar experience or based on similar or related skill sets

**physical requirements**

  • Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces, which may require frequent bending, twisting, climbing, kneeling, etc.
  • Ability to walk on roof tiles, shingles, and metal roofs without causing damage
  • Ability to work outside
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50lbs frequently, up to 100lbs with assistance)
  • Ability to work in Ottawa & other location in Ontario as needed
