Monitoring Solutions Specialist - Dynatrace

Halifax (flexible working and home working options)

Up to 80K plus benefits

My client, who is listed in The Sunday Times Top 100 companies to work for in the UK, is looking for an experienced Dynatrace specialist to provide the technical leadership and vision for their monitoring platform whilst still being able to do the do.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for the planning, definition, documentation, and successful delivery of the Dynatrace Enterprise Monitoring platform.
- Overall planning, direction, shaping and management of the end-to-end delivery of Enterprise Monitoring to meet business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills.
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of the monitoring solutions, meeting the agreed business requirements within timescales, cost and quality constraints.
- Take ownership of the investigations process and manage stakeholder engagement effectively.
- Monitor and control resources, revenue and capital costs against budget and manage expectations of all project stakeholders.
- Provide direction and structure to assigned project activities establishing clear, precise goals, objectives and timeframes.
- Consult with a wide range of stakeholders to develop solutions from theory to production.
- Promote Monitoring Solutions throughout the company, adhering to the monitoring strategy.
- Research and develop new tools, technologies and ways of working and sharing this with the team in regular showcases.
- Complete ownership of platform run tasks like monitoring, performance and capacity planning, and disaster response.
- Utilising DevOps practices and tools to ensure all platforms are planned, run and maintained with reliability, efficiency, and scalability in mind.
- Review enterprise monitoring solutions to find intuitive new approaches to showcase to the business.
- Extend the dashboard platforms across all sites and services.
- Prepare and deliver presentations from Contact Centre to Executive level.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of changes in IT, specifically within monitoring, alerting, event management and APM arena.

Experience
- Previous demonstrable knowledge and hands on experience to a high standard of administering and improving a Dynatrace monitoring capability.
- Track record of gathering business and technical requirements and creating a future looking roadmap for the Dynatrace platform
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, particularly adept at simplifying and articulating complex topics and employing a wide range of communication styles to engage with all levels of the organisation
- Ability to advise and guide senior leaders in monitoring capabilities
- Familiarity and experience with ITIL processes
- Understanding of AWS and Azure platforms for monitoring
- Mentoring junior members of the team to enhance their understanding of and capabilities with the Dynatrace platform
- Experienced in influencing and negotiating with 3rd party suppliers and partners to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
