Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Marketing Director to lead all brand, digital, content, and performance sales & marketing efforts across Basecamp Resorts, Everwild, and Basecamp’s real estate development portfolio. This senior leadership role is responsible for creating a unified marketing vision that builds brand equity, drives bookings and spa revenue, generates investor leads, and supports real estate sales.
You will lead a cross-functional team and collaborate with senior leadership, creative partners, real estate stakeholders, and hospitality operators to bring campaigns to life—from concept to conversion. This role blends creative thinking with performance-driven execution and a deep understanding of hospitality, wellness, and lifestyle real estate branding.
**Salary**: $125K-150k

**Location**: Calgary or Canmore with regular presence in both locations
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Brand & Strategy
- Own and evolve the brand architecture and marketing strategies for Basecamp, Everwild, and development projects.
- Define buyer and investor personas across hospitality, wellness, and real estate audiences.
- Ensure consistent, elevated brand messaging and visual identity across all channels—print, digital, environmental, and experiential.
- Steward seasonal campaign development, product launches, and destination storytelling.
- Translate location-specific attributes (Canmore, Revelstoke, Fernie, etc.) into compelling narratives.
- Use data and guest insights to evolve brand strategy, improve audience segmentation, and identify white-space opportunities for innovation, growth, or repositioning.
2. Performance, Sales & Investor Marketing
- Lead omni-channel strategies for driving demand across hotel bookings, spa treatments, real estate sales, and investor leads.
- Develop and manage digital advertising strategies across search, social, display, and retargeting platforms, optimizing for acquisition and ROI.
- Build lead generation funnels tailored to various project stages—from early awareness through to sales and onboarding.
- Develop branded sales materials: decks, renderings, lifestyle campaigns, and marketing toolkits.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external brokers to align messaging and maximize conversions.
- Track and optimize campaign performance using CRM, analytics platforms, and automation tools.
3. Digital, Content & Creative
- Oversee digital platforms and UX for all brands and development properties.
- Develop and oversee the annual content strategy—including photography, video, and editorial—that brings each brand and property to life across all channels.
- Manage the shared creative and technical team (copywriters, designers, developers) and agency relationships as needed.
4. Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary marketing team.
- Collaborate with hospitality, real estate, construction, spa, and culinary stakeholders.
- Engage with chefs, wellness experts, architects, and partners to tell authentic brand stories.
5. PR, Events & Community
- Oversee PR strategies, media partnerships, and influencer collaborations.
- Plan and promote investor events, real estate launches, and spa openings.
- Act as a brand steward and spokesperson when needed.
