**Job Summary**

We’re looking for a meticulous Deburrer to finish machined and fabricated components so they’re safe to handle and meet customer specifications. You’ll remove sharp edges, burrs, and slag, achieve specified edge breaks/chamfers, and deliver parts that pass quality checks the first time.

**Responsibilities**
- Deburr, de-edge, blend, and polish steel and alloy parts using hand tools and power tools (files, die grinders, angle grinders, belt sanders, pneumatic tools, Scotch-Brite, etc.).
- Read basic drawings, travelers, and work instructions to confirm required edge conditions, surface finish, and part orientation.
- Create consistent edge breaks/chamfers to spec; blend machining marks and weld transitions without altering critical dimensions.
- Inspect work using gauges and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, comparators, surface finish gauges); document results on travellers/QA forms.
- Stage and protect finished parts (tagging, dunnage, rust prevention) and move them safely to the next operation.
- Keep work area clean and organized (5S) and follow all lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
- Collaborate with machinists, welders, and QA to solve finish/fit issues and improve process flow.

**Experience**
- Solid hand-tool skills and control; ability to produce consistent, repeatable finishes.
- Comfort reading basic drawings and using measurement tools.
- Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and safely handle parts (with lifts/carts)—up to ~50 lbs with assistance.
- Nice to have: Overhead crane or forklift experience; knowledge of surface finish (Ra/Rz), chamfer standards, and part preservation.
