**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate a float truck with a 53-foot trailer to transport heavy equipment such as:

- Excavators
- Loaders
- Bulldozers
- Rollers
- Other construction machinery and materials
- Safely **load, unload, and maneuver equipment** on and off the trailer without assistance
- **Properly secure and tie down** all equipment using approved chains, binders, and safety procedures
- As needed, move construction materials up to 50 lbs
- Operate and drive **standard transmission** vehicles
- Perform **pre
- and post-trip inspections** of truck and trailer; report mechanical issues as needed
- Follow all **MTO, CVOR, and company regulations** for safety and compliance
- Communicate with dispatch and site supervisors to coordinate pickup/drop-off schedules
- Complete daily logs and delivery paperwork accurately and on time

**Qualifications**:

- Valid **AZ driver’s license** with clean abstract and CVOR
- **Minimum 2 years** of float driving experience (with heavy equipment transport)
- Must be able to **operate construction equipment** to assist in loading/unloading
- Proficient in **load securement** and weight distribution
- Must be comfortable with and able to **drive standard/manual transmission**:

- Strong knowledge of Ontario road and safety regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded

**Preferred Assets**:

- Experience with construction or heavy civil environments
- Familiarity with job sites and municipal road conditions
- Valid safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights) an asset

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
