**What is the opportunity?**

This position is responsible for overall supplier management for RBC Insurance from planning and strategy, platform sponsorship and representation of business and enterprise initiatives, direct supplier relationship management, negotiation with multiple key partners for both strategic and day-to-day operations, co-ordination of tactical and operational activities to support/enhance service/operations efficiency and effectiveness and mitigate operational risk where applicable. Is the key point of escalation for any supplier related issues.

**What will you do?**
- Leads and manages across all lines of business for Insurance all supplier management activities including: Strategy & Optimization, Transaction Management, Operations & Maintenance, Operational Effectiveness and Performance Management
- Creates a supplier management community within Insurance ensuring awareness and transparency in Enterprise policy expectations in managing third party risk.
- Chairs the Insurance Supplier Oversight Committee (ISOC) - oversees the evaluation of controls for critical supplier relationships, providing guidance and assurance to the business.
- Collaborates with business and Procurement partners in driving cost efficiencies and protective contractual wording.
- Accountable for department budgets and expenses ensuring they are tracked and reported accurately and cost management guidelines are maintained to achieve business plan
- Effectively leads and motivates a team who provide day-to-day guidance to business re supplier framework, due diligence, on-boarding and off-boarding, contract renewals and/or changes, and supplier spend processing and analytics. Ensures Supplier Management team strengthens relationship with internal and external business partners.
- Responsible for developing supplier strategy and building a comprehensive plan for managing relationships with suppliers, optimizing procurement, and improving overall performance

**What will you need to succeed?**
- Minimum 10 years of supplier management experience including third party risk management and supplier relationships
- In-depth knowledge of the OSFI B10 Guideline
- Demonstrated leadership and proven impact/influence capabilities
- Strong client focus and change management capabilities
- Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills
