Reporting to Supervisor, Load Research, Edmonton, with ATCO’s Electricity division, this **8-month co-op position **is responsible for supporting a variety of tasks within the Load Research team. Responsibilities include assisting in the delivery of a Loss Analysis Study, Annual Load Analysis Studies, Monthly Survey Meter Load Collection & Analysis and supplying other groups with data requests as required. The student is required to develop and maintain collaborative work relationships with team members with the ability to take direction and learn independently. Data entry and analysis, SQL tool creation, supplying data for other groups, updating documentation, and supporting company initiatives are some of this role’s primary duties.

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in completing a Loss Study of the ATCO Power System with use of the CYME Power Systems Analysis Tool.
- Assist in Annual Load Analysis Study to deliver Load Factor values for all customer types.
- Assist in Monthly Survey Meter Data Collection & Analysis
- Creation of new SQL tools to replace some of the old MS Access Query & VBA tools used for all the above studies & data collection.
- Documentation updating & creation with the new CCS M2C meter data storage software & new SQL tools when required.
- Replying to data requests from other groups & supplying them with the data.
**Qualifications**:
- Currently enrolled in an engineering or computer science post-secondary degree program.
- Enrolled in co-op or equivalent post-secondary work experience program.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Strong technical aptitude, analytical ability, problem solving and time management skills.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Strong SQL programming skills.
- Knowledge of load flow analysis software is considered an asset.
