This position is located in Windsor, Ontario, one of two sites located in Canada offering softgel development and manufacturing capabilities for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health industries. We have a broad range of integrated formulation, manufacturing, analytical and packaging services to offer full-service turnkey solutions.

Reporting to the Group Leader ARD, the Analytical Scientist will play an integral role in supporting Catalent by providing analytical support in developing and validating analytical methods for Assay, Cleaning Validation, and Investigations. The Analytical Scientist will also ensure compliance with patient first culture within the team.

Shifts: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM-4:30 PM or 8:30 AM-5:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

**The Role**:

- Develop and validate analytical methods. Transfer analytical methods between Catalent and customers.
- Analyzing samples from various sources to provide information on compounds or quantities of compounds present, data reviewing and report writing.
- Using analytical techniques and instrumentation such as HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography), UHPLC, GC and spectroscopy (IR, UV, MS).
- Interpreting data and adhering to strict guidelines on documentation when recording data.
- Developing new techniques for the analysis of drug products and chemicals.
- Working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Operate under and maintain GMP/GLP conditions, maintain safety, health and environmental procedures along with lab cleanliness and supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A bachelor’s degree in science or related field is required.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in analytical chemistry/pharmaceutical R&D is preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility is an asset.
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques, terminology, equipment and materials.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of chemical, biological and physical testing and analyses including the preparation of materials, equipment and samples.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, Excellent time management, organization and prioritizing skills.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills, essential in dealing with people at all levels and in a variety of functions, able to influence and motivate others to quickly achieve results.
- Currently Catalent does not participate in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).
- The employee's role frequently involves sitting and utilizing hands and fingers for tasks such as handling, feeling, and keyboard manipulation, necessitating manual dexterity.
- Occasionally, the position requires standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, alongside close vision capabilities and potential exposure to chemicals, human blood-borne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials.
