This position will be scheduled 16 - 14 hours a week. Shifts will be scheduled as follows: Monday - Friday either 8am - 5pm or 9am - 6pm. Weekend shifts are Saturday 8:30am - 5:30pm and Sunday shifts are 12 - 4.

**Customer Service Cashier Part Time - Brandon Branch**

As a valuable member of our team the successful applicant will operate cash registers, optical price scanners, computers or other equipment to record and accept payment for the purchase of goods and services. Additionally, your duties will include:

- Greet and guide customers through their purchase process in a friendly
- Provide information to customers on various products and services
- Scan items to identify the price of goods and tabulate total payment required using POS system (cash register), including foreign currency exchange as required
- Receive and process payments by cash, cheque, credit or debit card
- Wrap or package merchandise for customers
- Balance cash drawer as required and reconcile with total sales
- Ensures customers leave with all merchandise and services required using suggestive selling or recommending related products
- Answers phone calls a redirect calls appropriately
- Stock shelves and clean cash counter area as required
- Monitor entrances and exits, requesting proof of payment when necessary
- Participate in promotional activities
- Show a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- Communicates with coworkers and customers by phone and in person in a friendly and timely manner
- Have great organizational & time management skills
- The ability to work in a fast paced team environment is essential
- On the job training will be provided
- 1-year or less of previous experience is preferred and knowledge of building materials is an asset but not required
- Be available for a variety of shifts including weekends
