**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Serve as an **Entry Rescue Technician** during confined space operations, ready to perform rescues as required.
- Operate and maintain **SCBA equipment** to ensure readiness for emergency scenarios.
- Perform **rope access work** for tasks such as inspections, maintenance, or repair.
- Set up, inspect, and operate rescue and safety equipment, ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC and site-specific regulations.
- Conduct safety assessments and participate in the development of rescue plans.
- Respond swiftly and professionally to confined space emergencies, ensuring personnel safety.
- Assist in confined space operations, such as monitoring or maintaining safety systems.
- Complete safety documentation and daily reports accurately.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:Mandatory Certifications**:

- **IRATA Certification** (Level 1, 2, or 3).
- **Confined Space Entry and Rescue Certification** (CSA, NFPA, or equivalent).
- **SCBA Training and Certification**.
- Current **First Aid Certification** (OFA Level 1 or higher preferred).

**Experience and Knowledge**:

- Proven experience in confined space entry and rescue operations.
- Hands-on experience with SCBA systems in industrial or emergency settings.
- Familiarity with confined space and fall protection regulations (WorkSafeBC preferred).
- Rope access experience in industrial or construction environments.

**Additional Skills**:

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physical fitness and stamina for working in challenging environments.
- Effective communication and collaboration in team settings.
