**About the Job**

Industrial Plastics & Paints are hiring a full-time retail salesperson to help our customers select the right products for their unique projects, in our Mission, BC store.

Our most successful employees enjoy problem solving and are makers themselves with personal experience using the type of products we stock and sell.

We are eager to help you learn and train on the specifics of our products, if you are able to think quickly on your feet and are flexible to a wide-range of retail job demands.

**To be successful in this role, you will need to**:

- Enjoy working with the public.
- Genuinely care about providing our customers with technical assistance in selecting the best product solution.
- Have a professional, direct and courteous style.
- Take initiative and work well with mínimal supervision.
- Be respectful, direct and make decisions in the best interest of the customer.
- Available to regularly work Saturdays.

**Capabilities**:

- Operate cash register & Process cash money, cheque and credit/debit card payments.
- Customer service oriented.
- Provide cost estimates on materials.
- Suggestive selling and Value Selling are critical to your success.
- Work with personal accountability and self-motivation.

**Essential Skills**:

- Oral Communication in English.
- Understand Basic Math.
- Computer Literacy.
- Working with others in a team setting or alone with mínimal supervision.
- Able to problem solve.
- Able to be task efficient and organized.

**Ability to Train & Learn about**:

- Paint, Coatings & Sundries.
- 3D Printing, Hobby Making & Craft Manufacturing.
- Casting and Fiberglassing Resins & epoxies.
- Building Materials & Hardware (other than lumber)
- Marine & Pleasure Craft.
- Industrial Plastics.
