**Background & Purpose of the Job**

We are looking for a **General **Labour** employee at our Ice Cream Manufacturing factory in Simcoe, Ontario. Our factory produces brand names such as **Breyers, Ben & Jerry's, Magnum, Klondike,**

**Popsicle**, and Wall’s****

The objective of the General Labour position is to stage and supply packaging and dry good ingredients to the production floor to ensure that production requirements are met.

**Who You Are & What **You’ll** Do**
- Report to your scheduled work centre at the scheduled shift start time
- Ensure the safe working, good housekeeping and good manufacturing practices are observed, in meeting daily production and quality expectations
- Ensure that the proper quantity of materials and or ingredients are brought down from the supply hall to the production floor to meet daily production requirements
- Report safety hazards or environmental risks immediately to [the] supervisor
- Perform the job duties in a manner that is safe for yourself and others around you, including compliance with safety and ergonomic practices
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned

**What **You’ll** Need **To** Succeed**
- Flexibility to work shift schedules
- Ability to learn all functions of assigned production lines in a quick fashion, as dictated by the production rate of the specific line.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Previous experience in a production environment and/or food production or handling is preferred.
- Education - High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) equivalent
