**Your Opportunity**

**Your Key Responsibilities**
- Use GPS RTK and or total stations survey equipment and their respective data collection systems to perform construction layout surveys. Previous survey experience within the construction industry would be an asset.
- Verify the accuracy of field survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites
- Communicate regularly with Geomatics Management and on-site clients to ensure a timely and cost-effective completion of the project
- Assist in review and processing of collected survey data and plans.
- Perform field surveys in all weather conditions
- Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Adhere to and promote adherence to Stantec safety policies
- Mentoring of junior field staff to ensure industry best practices are observed in the field and office
- Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned

**Qualifications**

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
- Experienced with survey equipment including; level, RTK GPS and total station
- Experience supervising and coordinating junior surveyors
- Ability to read and understand survey drawings, building plans and specifications
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record (Company truck will be provided for transportation to and from the work site)
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends when needed
- Safety footwear & appropriate clothing is a requirement. Stantec will provide safety vests, hard hats & additional safety equipment as required. You will be provided an allowance for safety footwear and any clothing requirments for the construction site.

**Education and Experience**
- Graduate of a university degree or college diploma in Geomatics, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
- Experience managing a field crew of 1-3 individuals
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Surveyor
