**ROLE OVERVIEW**

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Physician Assistant provides professional assessments to referred patients, determining their healthcare needs, and ensuring they receive the services and care they need while confirming adherence to company policies and procedures, standards, and practices.

**YOU WILL**:

- Provide professional support and services under the direct or indirect supervision of a physician.
- In collaboration with patients and physicians, assess care needs, determine eligibility for services, and develop individual care and service plans.
- Documenting patient care and compliance with quality standards.
- Ordering and interpreting patient test results.
- Develop rapport with patients and their families.
- Balance patient needs and choices with available resources, ensuring patients’ values and preferences are respected.
- Be honest and ethical and always hold the highest standard of clinical quality care, including goal setting and outcome measurement for each patient.
- Work collaboratively as a team with other on-site clinicians.
- Communicate on each patient with referral source (e.g., initial assessment/ progress/discharge report, phone calls.)
- Perform administrative duties as required.

**YOU HAVE**
- Graduate of an accredited PA training program
- Certification (CCPA or PA-C) or eligible for certification through the PA Certification Council of Canada (PACCC) or United States (NCCPA)
- A minimum of two (2) years of related work experience
- A current BLS certification
- Up-to-date Professional Liability Insurance.
