**About the Position**

The Junior metallurgist will assist senior metallurgists with laboratory analyses, metallurgical testing, and process support. The role focuses on preparing samples, conducting routine chemical tests, and supporting hydrometallurgy studies to ensure efficient extraction and processing of ores.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Assist in sample preparation, chemical analyses, and metallurgical testing under the guidance of senior metallurgists.
- Assist in troubleshooting metallurgical process issues in lab or pilot plant settings.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with metallurgists, engineers, and mining teams to support process improvement initiatives.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical or Mineral Processing (or equivalent) required;
- 1-3 year of laboratory and operations experience in process plants and testwork services related to mining and metallurgy;
- Knowledge of basic chemical techniques, lab procedures, and safety practices.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
