**Function**:
The Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon Hotel is a local, family-owned hotel operated as a franchised property with Marriott International. The hotel consists of 237 guest rooms, conference facilities, Carvers Steakhouse & Lounge, Scarlet Craft kitchen, as well as an indoor waterpark.

Reporting to the Hotel General Manager, the Pool Manager is a “hands-on” role; responsible for management and up-keep of the pool area. In this position you will coach, motivate, and train pool associates to ensure operational, safety, and cleanliness standards are in place. The hours of this position will predominantly be evenings and weekends; however, this will be altered during summer and school breaks (eg; Easter Break, Summer, Holiday Break) to accommodate family staycations in the hotel.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage guest time allotment bookings and processes
- Maintain pool safety by monitoring cleanliness, safety, slides/pools and all equipment associated with the pool, ensuring all checklists are completed (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Maintain proper chemical balance in the pools (testing/adjustments, etc) and sending to appropriate reads to authorities
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues as necessary
- Ensure all associates are aware of, and adhere to all policies and procedures of the pool
- Coach, train and motivate associates to ensure a great guest experience
- Performance management of Pool Associates
- Manage Pool Attendants while on shift and delegate roles/tasks as necessary
- Ensure safety policies are visible and communicated to guests; via yourself and all Pool Attendants
- Monitor safety practices and recommend policy changes as necessary
- Serve Food & Beverage in the Pool side lounge and coach Pool Attendants to same standard
- Assist in maintaining part stocks via inventory control/counting; completing orders and requisitions for liquor/food/pool supplies.
- Complete purchase orders for pool supplies in a timely manner - to be submitted and approved by General Manager
- Oversee operational functionality of fitness equipment and report any maintenance requirements
- Maintain recognition programs, distribution of service mile points, etc.
- Report any incidents (guest or associate incidents) and attend OH&S Meetings
- Providing first aid services to guests when needed; coaching other staff on processes

**Qualifications**:

- Due to the Food and Beverage service we require you to be 19yrs of age or older, and hold Serve it Right Sk Certificate
- Must have swimming experience and standard first aid
- A Bronze Cross Certification or Life Safety Certification would be an asset
- 1-3 years of experience in pool management or lifeguarding

**Job Types**: 25 - 35 hours a week, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

**License/Certification**: Swimming Life Safety Certifications (preferred)
