**Casual - On Call - Automotive Damage Inspector**

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team at our Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia location. This is an on-call position where hours will vary.

The Automotive Damage Inspector - Casual provides the Company with a full service complement of damage inspection and reporting on automotive arrivals, entering the facility by way of Marine or Truck. In advance of the Company assuming full care and control of each vehicle, within 24-hours of its arrival, the Automotive Damage Inspector then transmits all information in regards to the condition of the new arrival to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), steamship or truck company, and any third parties that may be contracted by the shipping companies.

**Duties include**
- Using a keen eye, take a high level overlook of the vehicle to observe for any scratches, dents, scuffs, or otherwise problematic blemishes to the body of the vehicle
- Assess and record any anomalies viewed, grading these against a standard scale
- Transmit information to OEM’s, shipping companies, and third-parties contracted for oversight of claims and damages
- Photograph damages and upload images for record keeping purposes

**Qualifications**
- High-School education, or equivalent
- 2 years automotive industry experience preferred

**Skills / Functional knowledge**
- Capacity to analyze damages and anomalies, and able to classify appropriately
- Ability to organize job tasks, information, and communications in a way that optimizes efficiency
- Performs effectively in an environment where the workload and demands frequently change
- Works independently and complete assignments with mínimal direction
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative, positive, working relationships with colleagues
- Demonstrates skill in using internet, Microsoft Suite programs, and ability to learn proprietary software to produce accurate reporting
